This was the first sports anime I ever TRUELY watched, and boy did I start at the right time I powered through all three seasons in a week. I even made it in time to watch episode 75 on the day it simulcasted. Kuroko's Basketball was one heck of a fun ride.

i really enjoyed what they did with the epilogue by expanding it to include the teams of the gom in order to give us a better sense of closure than the manga did. akashi and chihiro(???)'s scene was really enjoyable and all those siblings in shuutoku were pretty amusing too.

like with the manga, watching the final scenes of the match brought back major feelings of irritation at seiren's ridiculous number of points in just a 40 second time period. that was just unreal and after pulling out all stops, it seemed more natural for rakuzan to win. that said, i guess it was never a question of whether seiren would win their final game.

(also major lol to kuroko being final gatekeeper. i'd imagine that zone would be something accessible to other players in the future so it seems silly for the whole thing to revolve around our little shadow but i'll take it)

one of the few endings to a series that i genuinely enjoyed. props.

Really enjoyed this season but had rethink my ratings for each season after the final episode. After letting the adrenaline cool down, I decided to give season 3 an 8/10 (instead of a 9) and I bumped up the first two seasons from 8s to 9s. The 4 point play in this episode was simply too ridiculous and felt forced because no one in their right mind would foul in that situation. That said, the 3rd season was awesomely animated, had some great soundtracks, and was exciting in general.

The 1st season was weakest in art/animation, but was very solid story-wise and the matches were enjoyable with only some minor exaggerations like Midorima's 3s and Aomine's skills. The 2nd season improved on art/animation and had a soundtrack I loved. I didn't like how Zone became so important especially in the Yosen match, but my enjoyment wasn't affected by this.

Anyway I'm glad I've watched this series!

I didn't really like this season at all but this last episode was pretty good at least the second half was since they added bonus content not in the manga.

If I'm recalling correctly the manga just ended quite abruptly and it felt very underwhelming.

To be fair, careless fouls happen to the best professionals. JR Smith inevitably made one of the games in the Finals go to overtime because he handed GSW not just 1, but 2 lifelines near the end of regulation time with his dumb fouls.

http://nypost.com/2015/06/08/j-r-smith-cops-to-dumb-fouls-that-nearly-cost-cavs-big-time/

For a foul more similar to Mibuchi's, we can look at Manu Ginobili's infamous foul in the 2006 Conference Finals.

http://www.48minutesofhell.com/manu-ginobili-key-to-spurs-mavericks-series

And then all that Manu moxie betrayed the Spurs. On the following possession, Ginobili fouled Dirk Nowitzki at the hoop for what became a game tying And-1. Manu Ginobili’s instincts are true. But in this case, the smart play would have been to let Nowitzki score or, at the very least, prevent him from scoring on the shot attempt, sending him to the line for two shots. Had either of those things happened, the Spurs would have likely won the game. Instead, the Mavericks crushed the Spurs in overtime, outscoring them 15-7. But it’s an easy thing to live with Manu Ginobili’s mistakes. Addle-brained moments come at a ratio of 1:10 to his brilliant ones, and the occasional lapse in judgment is always already forgiven.

And Manu Ginobili is hardly a fool.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1155462-15-nba-players-with-the-highest-basketball-iq/page/9

Players of fast, competitive sport often make decisions based on instinct rather than deliberate thought: http://blog.librum.io/2014/10/blink-the-power-of-thinking-without-thinking-by-malcom-gladwell/

Olympic athletes train for years before competing. In the same way, you must learn how to prime your brain so that it can make split-second decisions more efficiently.

This is what Gladwell refers to as creating the right “mental framework.” It’s a special state of mind that we develop over a long period of time.

Professional basketball players have mastered this ability on the court. After hundreds of dribbling exercises, they instinctively know how to handle the ball. They are able to almost predict when a teammate is ready to receive a pass, or whether they can reach the net from across the court.

Strangely enough, if you ask a basketball player how he knows this, he may not be able to give you a straight answer. That’s because most of his thinking is instinctual. During a game, the player enters a specific frame of mind where he doesn’t need to think long and hard about how he plays—it just comes naturally.

It's easy to see how this 'automatic instinct' can sometimes misfire, leading to dumb (in the view of a spectator) mistakes.

More on how our brain works (we are not as logical as we think we are in many situations, even when we have time to think): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiTz2i4VHFw

And back to Mibuchi. 2 other factors mitigated what he did:

1) Izuki's fluke perfect pass which made him believe the shot will 100% go in. This triggered his instinct to jump for the block.

2)Since he was operating on instinct, he probably wasn't thinking about this, but there was no way he'd expect Hyuga to even try to copy his Earth Shot (the only way that 4 point play could have been made).

The match continues to be stupid lmao. but still, it was so enjoyable. They did a great job at animation as well. Would have preferred to see Kuroko to make the shoot. Kagami could do something else for his spotlight, but oh well.

I really liked Akashi and Mayuzumi's conversation. Akashi's character development is good enough to make me like him, one thing I didn't expect. Real Akashi = best Akashi.

Overall, this season was great. I liked it a lot more than the 2nd one. And Rakuzan vs Seirin was a lot better than I thought it would be. Wasn't boring at all. Even the wackiness was good.

I don't mind giving it a 9/10. Would love to see Extra Game animated one day.

Pretty much though I go with a 8/10

As a whole I think this series deserves a 10/10

Phew. Finally done.

Sorry, after this season, I stopped enjoying this show as much. Mostly because Rakuzan and Akashi are like, my least favourite team and lead. Akashi is just not very interesting to watch. I don't even like Kamiya Hiroshi that much to like his role here.

I liked the epilogue scenes and using Tattsun's "Lantana" was the perfect way to end everything, instead of using an old OP/ED.

I'm going to check out the manga and manga sequel in the future!

I would't say Rakuzan deserved a win there. This team was from the beginning to the end the King and his pawns. Akashi simply turned from a dictator to a kind ruler.

Easily the top of Kuroko's season with a lot of aspull. The ending is overly dramatic, the dialogue is bullshit, the songs are forgettable and the pacing is kinda irritating. Weakest season 3-4/10

Really enjoyed the Teiko arc delving into the generation of miracles past. Although I liked Akashi as a character, the last match really dragged to me and even if we all knew they had to win, there were just too many plot conveniences in Seirin's favor by the end. Didn't like this season as much as the first two, but still managed to enjoy it a good deal. I'll miss it. 8/10

Well, i had great time watching Kuroko. At the begging I hated this series very much and I dropped it at 16th episode of 1st season. But after some time I decided to give it another try. I'm glad I gave KnB another chance. Great, great anime, one of my favorite. Yea, it was certain that Seirin will win, but damn, story and characters were amazing, especially Generation of Miracles with every one of them was different, so they way of thinking and attitude towards basketball. Above all, I liked most 2nd season. 3rd was also great but worse. I'm really happy that Seirin won the Winter Cup and fact, that Kuroko's basket won and changed Generation of Miracle's way of thinking. Gonna miss the show, farewall Kuroko :(

Probably one of the best sports anime I've had the pleasure of watching. Ending felt a bit abrupt, as if Akashi's character wasn't completely fleshed out.

Another thing that's been surprising me throughout all three seasons- no matter how much development and exposure the Kuroko-Kamagi duo got, in the end I was and still am rooting for the Generation of Miracles (Murasakibara in particular).

Oh yea, forgot to mention-- season 2 OP 1 best opening by far.

In the anime, Reo jumps forward to stop Hyuga due to desperation, and instinct whilst on defense. As this happens Hyuga remembers how many times he has seen the play before and thanks to Izuki's amazing pass, manages to pull of the same play. Four point plays are not that uncommon in BB.

That was an epic ending to an epic show!!!

So Seirin finally won in the end through some great team work and great dunks including the last one by Kagami!

Awww, Akashi cried at the end and said he'd win next time and then Kuroko said they'd play again and again and again.

Kuroko's friend said he'd work hard to play them next year.

After Teppei left to get surgery, awww.

Threatening Aomine's girly picture to get him to go to practice LOL!

Akashi went to see the new Kuroko he recruited and wondered why he hadn't been to the leaving party but he said it just wasn't his scene, I think he should've gone.

Kuroko scared Kagami LOL!

The picture he got off Momoi was sweet! is that what he wants for his birthday? a nice party with the rest of the generation of miracles. How sweet.

Considering Kuroko and Kagami and the miracles are only first years you'd expect it could go on for like 6 more seasons but apparently there will be movies and stuff instead. Surprising really kinda. They could've kept it going ages like Dragonball and Bleach and stuff.

I need to watch the OVA's now.

I will miss this show though! glad I finally watched it!

I really did love this show! and can't wait to see more!

The manga ended so abruptly, so I'm really glad about the anime-original material.

I don't think they ever went into Eikichi's backstory, and they left a few other things out. But it was understandable to fit everything into this season. This last match was overall a lot more exciting compared to the manga version, so I'm happy about that. Although my favorite match of this series is still Seirin vs Tōō 2 :)

Extra Game is gonna be really nice with a movie budget, but that's in 2017. So for now, it's been a fun ride Kuroko!

BREAKING NEWS: Person actually likes the third season of Kuroko no Basket

Was it more over the top cheesy than ever? Definitely

Was there a tremendous amount of shounen power ups? Absolutely

Did the last match drag on for too long? Certainly

Is it the weakest season of the bunch? Yes

Did I hate it? Absolutely not, and despite its flaws I still think it deserves a 7/10 (albeit not a strong one but still)

S2 => S1 > S3

Overall I think Kuroko no Basket's been an extremely fun ride and I really hope the upcoming movie's going to be able to provide me the same excitement as the prequels. In the meantime, I'll go check out the mango and the yaoi doujinshis/fanfics.

This season just ruined the whole series for me.

Corny moments. Asspulls everywhere. Annoying cliches. Predictable shit. Dumb characters acting even dumber.
Those annoying moments "No way they're gonna win, IT'S OVER" then SURPRISE MOTHAFUKA "THEY WON AT LAST 0.0001 SECOND OMFG!!"

Then there's that Zone shit, then there's a level 2 Zone, then there's Kise copy ninja Zone, then there's Akashi because plot Zone, then there's a whole fuckin team Zone, then there's a Kuroko opening the fuckin gate Zone, then there's fuck me Zone. Then there's 2/10 Fuck this show.

So Seirin won their last point with the Kuroko-Kagami combo! Nice to see Akashi shook hands with Kuroko. Ah and that photo too on kuroko's locker, looks like it was taken in their high school period? Does that mean they still meet occasionally or was it for Kuroko's birthday thing that Kagami's mentioned? Nevertheless, I'm glad that they're back to being friends and competitors :D

So at the last half of the episode we see that they're preparing for the next competition? It'll be nice to see that too but I think it'll be too much for the mangaka lol especially when the main characters are all in their first year XD

From season 1 and increasingly towards the end of season 3, the series' realism dropped and is instead filled with more 'typical shounen' stuff - with the power-ups and the power of friends/teamwork. But I know this would happen anyway, because this is a shounen series. Tbh if I'm looking to watch for a 'realistic' portrayal of sports from anime I wouldn't watch one that has a "shounen" tag to it lol. So when I watch shounen sports anime like Prince of tennis or Kuroko no Basuke I just take it all in with all the "typical, ridiculous shounen' stuff as long as they are entertaining and enjoyable XD And this kuroko no basuke series and this season 3 has been entertaining me with intense and exciting matches, so I'm satisfied! :) The animation was pretty well done as well as the choice of the music accompaniment which helps to accentuate the mood (especially in those tense moments)!

I want more! More of the Generation of Miracle's moment (before they fell apart), and more of all of them in high school years 2 and 3! Well I can only hope I suppose.. Im definitely gonna miss this series, it's been a few years since I first watched season 1 and I finally finished season 3 today~

Pretty good anime, but waayyy too many asspulls and friendship power ups for kuroko and kagami for final battle.

Kagami jumped in and out of the zone like three times, and only got tired once.
Kurokos fake emperor eye is a literally asspull. That shit came out of nowhere.
all of the sudden, aomine explains that there's a second zone, but its blocked by a gatekeeper, who just happens to be kuroko. LOL, what???
The way they won was sheer bullshit at its finest. There was multiple ways akashi could have stopped kuroko from passing the ball to kagami for an alley oop.

Frankly, rakuzan should have won since they were clearly dominating for most of the game.

I'd give it a 9/10, but that final battle was god awful

And Seirin won, as expected. But they deserved it after everything they have went through, and all their hard work.

The second half of the episode is so heartwarming. Murasakibara giving snack to his senpais, even he has changed for the better. I'd have loved to see he GoM hanging out together. Maybe there is a possibility to see that? Maybe not.

I'll miss this and all the characters. Maybe I should give the manga a try!

Weirdly enough there's no MAL page for Kuroko Last Game, adapting the manga Kroko Extra Game, the one against the US players.

So I have to talk about it here

It was pretty intense : the animation was wonderful, Silver was monstrous and Nash Gold JR was even more than monstrous o_O Each character of the generation of miracles and of course our 2 main characters all get their moment of glory. I loved the record/music as well.

It's a wonderful way to end this anime/manga, with an incredible match where the team made of Kuroko, Kagami and ther generation of miracles struggle and suffer, they don't have it easy.

Really satisfied.

not even going to get into their halfassed win. 7 out of 10. S1 and 2 are solid 9s, and the first quarter of the show (kise, right?) is an 8. also, i feel cheated we never saw kise's zone. i wish i could have seen it, he's one of my favourite characters.

this has to be the weakest not season finale mind you, SERIES finale. and this is all they could do? not even jazz up the ED? whatever. done with this at last. regardless i'm happy i took the time out to watch this franchise. S1 and 2 still exist and will never go away no matter how badly 3 rips them both to shreds. cheers-
